British girl catches world record fish

It’s more like catch of the century than catch of the day. And next to 11-year-old Jessica Wanstall from Sittingbourne, the 193lb catfish looks like a beached whale. Jessica caught the fish on a trip to the Ebro River in North-East Spain arranged by her angling father Mark, who’s also landed some serious fish in his time. According to the International Game Fish Association, Jessica has set a world record for a freshwater fish caught by an angler aged 16 and under. This film first appeared in Fieldsports Britain, episode 10. To watch the whole show go to Fcha.nl/fieldsportsbritain10
