Fishing in urban lakes and wild, secret, Irish loughs this week’s Fishing Britain. Top carp anglers Tony Smeets and Darryll Slater are fishing a very public park lake with the biggest bait boat you have ever seen, joggers, dogwalkers and even crowds of onlookers. Competitive speed reeling and thieving boilie snatchers are all a part of these public places but the fish don’t seem to mind.
At the other end of the spectrum Charlie Jacoby heads off on to a hidden gem in Ireland looking to catch a salmon on his trusty smuggler rod.
