Ashtree Shoot in South Devon has found a brilliant way to get youngsters into shooting. It gives up an early-season day for its own guns so it can invite two dozen newbies to give the sport a go. The set-up is simple. Guns double up on pegs, shooting every other drive, and mentors including pro shooting instructors accompany every gun to teach the basics. At the end of the day, the smiles say it all.
