Yorkshire gamekeepers James and Jono were astonished to be confronted by armed police, complete with helicopter, while heatherburning on the Upperwood estate on the edge of the Peak District. It turned out a member of the public had complained about them safely shooting a magpie earlier in the day – claiming he had been shot at. Despite their innocence, a senior officer demanded the two keepers were whisked off to the police station.
