The 2022 clay season is taking shape, as the CPSA announces dates and venues for its major championships.
The British Open Sporting Championship will be held from 31 August to 4 September 2022 at Barbury Shooting School in Wiltshire, which held a successful English Open Sporting Championship in 2021, culminating in Richard Faulds beating Richard Bunning in a thrilling shoot-off in driving rain.
The 2022 English Open Sporting Championship is at High Lodge from 18 to 22 May. John Bidwell and Andy Coppen will be setting a course around parts of the ground not used before.
The English Open Sportrap Championship will be held at Eriswell Lodge Shooting Ground from 15 to 17 July.
The annual DTL Weekend, which includes the Sponsored Day, Dougall Memorial and the English Open, returns to Bywell from 10 to 12 June.

The Essex Masters returns to its usual slot at the beginning of the clay season, running from 25 April to 1 May at the usual Hepworth Hall venue.
Other significant dates in 2022 include the British Shooting Show from 18 to 20 February, the Northern Shooting Show on 7-8 May, and the Game Fair at Ragley Hall from 29 to 31 July.
This year the World English Sporting Championships are held in the USA, and will run from 20 to 24 April at San Antonio, Texas.
