Amber Hill wins World Cup skeet silver

GB’s Amber Hill has won silver in Olympic Skeet at the ISSF World Cup in Lonato.

Amber continued her fantastic form following her gold medal in Cyprus in March – and this time was just one clay off gold medal winner Caitlin Connor from USA, with 36 to Connor’s 37.

The duel between Amber and the American wasn’t only fought in the final though. In the qualification round, the GB skeet shooter beat Connor in a shoot-off to finish in second spot after both shooters shot 122 ex 125.

Germany’s Nadine Messerschmidt completed the podium in third spot to take the bronze medal.

The result comes just days after GB’s Kirsty Hegarty won gold in Olympic Trap at the same event.
