Great Britain’s Amber Hill has won bronze at the European Shooting Championships in Croatia.
It’s the latest in a string of successes for Amber, who is currently ranked number one in the world, and will be shooting for GB at the Tokyo Olympics in July.
The European Championships were Amber’s last international competition before Tokyo. She shot a score of 38 ex 50 to secure third place on the podium.
The result supersedes Amber’s previously won quota place, so the record will now show that she won her Team GB Olympic quota place at the European Championships, and not via a World Ranking place.
In the men’s Skeet, despite some fantastic shooting, GB’s Ben Llewellin just missed out on a final place after losing a shoot-off in the qualification rounds.
It was good news for GB’s junior men’s Skeet team, too, winning bronze in their event.
