Ollie Keates wins the Game Fair Colts Challenge

Ollie Keates, a 15-year-old shooter from Wiltshire, won the CPSA Colts Challenge at the Game Fair on Sunday 25 July. His success came just a fortnight after winning second place in his category at the World English Sporting Championships.

Ollie shot 40 ex-50 on the Game Fair Challenge sporting course set by EJ Churchill, winning a place in the final alongside Max Allen, Barney Eastman, Jasper Pearce and Mathew Paley.

After some confusion over the requirement to shoot fibre wad cartridges, the five finalists took their stands on a sportrap course to battle for the top spot.

Ollie took the win outright, three targets clear of runner-up Jasper. Max and Mathew tied in third place, forcing a shoot-off that was won by Mathew.

The top three each won a cash prize, Musto clothing, shotgun cartridges from Eley Hawk and free CPSA membership.
