Billy Baughan from Buckinghamshire won the Game Fair Champion of Champions clay competition on Saturday 24 July, collecting the impressive trophy and an Isuzu D-Max pick-up for six months. It was Billy’s second win at the event, which he first won at the Game Fair in 2018.
Browning shooter Billy scored 46 ex-50 on the Game Fair Challenge sporting course to qualify for the five-way super-final, shot on a sportrap layout – where he missed just one target to score 24 ex-25 and take the win outright.
Julian Morris took second place, and Darren Stamford third. Also competing in the super-final were Shaun Stacey and Jason Allaway.
The CPSA Champion of Champions is a traditional feature of the Game Fair, with each of the CPSA’s county committees in England invited to send their champion.
In addition to the trophy and the use of the Isuzu, Billy also won 1,000 Gamebore cartridges, a £100 Musto voucher, £200 cash and a year’s CPSA membership. £300 also went to the Buckinghamshire CPSA County Committee.
