Olympic shooting update: Seonaid McIntosh misses out on 10m air rifle final

Team GB’s Seonaid McIntosh missed out on a place in the final of the women’s 10 metre air rifle event on Saturday 24 July.

She was only 1.3 points off making the top eight, but that was enough to leave her in 12th place out of the 50 competitors.

The honour of winning the first gold medal of the Tokyo Games went to China’s Yang Qian. Silver was won by Anastasiia Galashina from Russia, and bronze Switzerland’s Nina Christen.

Seonaid will be back in action on Saturday 31 July in the 50 metre rifle 3 positions – the event where she is currently ranked No.1 in the world.
