When Gloucestershire Police wrote to Jack Edmunds to explain why they were revoking his shotgun certificate, they said it was because he was a murder suspect. The only problem was – he wasn’t. That was another Jack Edmunds, 10 years younger, who lived in the next town. Gloucestershire Police refuse to back down. They have not apologised and, crucially, they have not reissued Jack’s shotgun certificate.
