Paul Childerley loves a .410 shotgun. Whether it is on a game day or clay shoot, he enjoys the challenge of the smaller calibre, plus the benefits of less recoil, less weight, and less bang. Today, he’s trying to have a day on the pigeons with a selection of guns and shells. The birds have other ideas and move to another field. Those that are heading our way are finding Paul’s hide offensive to the eye, so he has to try and come up with a strategy that’ll deliver the goods. The side-by-side, Hushpower and hammergun, all in .410, all have different characteristics. One thing Paul is certain about is the ultimate .410 cartridge.
