Dollaghan – more fun than sea trout

Charlie Jacoby tries out dollaghan fishing in Northern Ireland. The dollaghan is the native brown trout of Lough Neagh that runs up local rivers to spawn. Because of the size of the lough, they grow big, too. The fish in the thumbnail is a 22lber. At Six Mile Water in Antrim, Charlie Jacoby joins local anglers Jim Haughey, Philip Johnston and the man who landed the monster, Derek Bell, to learn how Czech nymphing has revolutionised dollaghan fishing in recent years.
