Fieldsports Britain – a gameshooting day to remember

Paul Childerley is shooting on the Mountgarret Shoot in North Yorkshire. There’s a good wind and pheasants are flying beautifully. Paul is there with his friend Scott Shuckford, and enjoying a day put on by Ripley Sporting. Plus they are both using guns that suit the grandeur of the day: Rizzini Regal Deluxe shotguns. Back in the South of England, Tim Pilbeam is stalking in Sussex, and trying out a combination of optics. He has Swarovski NL Pure binos and a Pulsar Axion XQ38 thermal spotter, and finds the best way to use them. You can get a good deal on night vision, too, from this week’s Bargain Hunter. News editor Ben O’Rourke investigates waders this week – it’s how gamekeepers in Hampshire are helping lapwings and snipe breed in marshy ground, with advice from the GWCT. There are the best hunting videos on YouTube in Hunting YouTube, and David has the latest on the News Stump. It’s all in #FieldsportsBritain
