The Government has changed its advice that all British gun-owners should be reported to the police for terrorism. It released a leaflet called Action Counters Terrorism, with a number of signs to look out for in a potential terrorists. Among them, it requested reports from the public on ‘Anyone who has firearms or other weapons or has shown an interest in obtaining them’. It made no distinction between licensed gun owners or recreational airgun owners and criminals with illegal firearms. It has recently updated that to read ‘illegal’ firearms.
