Lamping clampdown by Irish police

See someone lamping in Co Kerry, Ireland, and the Gardai would like you to call them.

The Irish constabulary told the Irish Independent that those genuinely trying to catch rabbits have nothing to fear from with Gardai approaching them.

Police came up with the initiative following a meeting between senior Gardaí, farmers concerned about interference with fencing and livestock, and official hare coursing representatives. Police say lamping is “an opportunistic activity”: it provides an excuse for people to trespass.
