Scottish airgun ban makes 400,000 criminals

There are as many as 400,000 new criminals in Scotland. That’s the conclusion of BASC, which warns that BASC is warning that more than 400,000 airguns could be unlicensed in Scotland when the new airgun licensing law came into force on New Year’s Day. Of Scotland’s estimated half a million airgun, 17,000 have been handed in and 10,000 applications for a licence have been made. Scottish justice secretary Michael Matheson says the rest will go to prison. See BASC’s statement here.
