Deer stalker Ollie Williams is a sponsored Steiner user, and he’s been using the Steiner Ranger 8 4-32×56 riflescope. He acknowledges that it’s probably more scope than he needs. “I rarely shoot anything over 100 yards,” he says. “I zeroed it once, maybe six months ago, and never had to touch it since.”
He knows the scope has a lot more tech inside than he’s used, so he caught up with Simon Morgan from the UK’s Steiner distributor, GMK, to find out what the scope is capable of.
Like the company’s Ranger 6 and Ranger 4 series, the Ranger 8 has a compact and modern design which combines Steiner’s military robustness and high quality ED glass with 92% light transmission. Other features include smart on/off feature, which automatically preserves battery life. Best in class reticule illumination with fibre dot technology and an integrated ballistic turret on the 4-32×56 model that Ollie is using.
For more about the Ranger 8, and the rest of the Steiner riflescope range, see the GMK website.
