Plainsgame Five: nyala, wildebeest, sable, warthog and bushpig – African Hunter, episode 4

We are hunting all over South Africa after five (some) of the country’s most appealing game animals. Eugene Etsabeth of Nonya Safaris in the Limpopo Province is bowhunting a young bull blue wildebeest for the braai. He goes on to guide Swedish hunter Alexandra Hellstrom after nyala with a rifle in a thick, bush hunt. In the Northern Cape, Dani Geel is hunting an old sable cow that needs to be removed from the herd. He is using a Hoyt Carbon RX3 bow. Hog specialist Allan Schenk from Allan Schenk Safaris is taking a Canadian hunter on a warthog hunt in the Eastern Cape. And finally, Rudi Van Niekerk from Winterburg Taxidermy is on a night-vision hunt for pigzilla – a giant bushpig that he has been waiting out for night after night for weeks. Will he get it? Find out in #AfricanHunter.
