In spring 2023, Aimpoint announced it was looking for the next Franz-Albrecht, the brightest shooting talent from across the globe. Twenty lucky finalists were given the opportunity of world class training at rifle ranges and shooting grounds near the Aimpoint HQ to asses their skills and their knowledge of hunting.
Aimpoint chose two young hunters as the winners of the Aimpoint Academy 2023 and asked Fieldsports Channel to film the big prize: two days of driven hunting in southern Sweden. It was a baptism of fire for Johannes, with pressure to perform in front of the camera. To start with, the wild boar and fallow failed to make an appearance. On the final drive, Johannes showed just why he’d be selected by the Aimpoint team. Using Shotkams and GoPros to help capture the action, Johannes takes seven fallow at different ranges and speeds, showing great skill and maturity.
